Hawke's Bay Photographer heads to Cardrona Distillery for on location, creative staff headshots.

Cardrona Distillery sought creative headshot photography that would evoke the artistry, mystique, and magical nature of their whiskey-making process. The aim was to capture not just the skill of the whiskey makers, but the mysterious and artisanal essence of their craft, creating portraits that felt both intimate and magical.

The resulting images were used in various branding photography campaigns, including a feature in Air New Zealand’s Kia Ora magazine, elevating the distillery's brand presence and strengthening its narrative. These portraits not only represent the skilled individuals behind Cardrona’s whiskey but also help convey the mysticism of the whiskey-making process, enhancing the overall identity of the brand in a competitive market.

As a Hawke's Bay photographer, I travelled to Cardrona to bring this vision to life, capturing these powerful, evocative portraits in a unique and atmospheric setting. This project showcases how high-quality branding photography can enhance a brand’s storytelling and create a lasting, magical impression across multiple media platforms.
